The Lebanese army intercepted and seized a ship,
sailing from port of Alexandria, Egypt, loaded with weapons, security sources
said Friday.
The ship is carrying with three containers loaded with weapons, the
sources, requesting anonymity, told KUNA. They added the ship was taken to
northern Selata port for thorough inspection and interrogate the crew.
It is not yet known who sent the weapons and to who they are destined.
A Lebanese military court accused, on April 11, four people including a
Syrian of smuggling weapons to Syria. |
