The Special Operations Forces Exhibition and
Conference (SOFEX 2012) kicked off on Monday in the Jordanian capital and is
to showcase the latest modernized military products and equipment.
Kuwait National Guard (KNG) is taking part in the exhibition by a
delegation that is headed by Brigadier Zayed Abdullah Naser, Deputy
Undersecretary of KNG, and includes Commander of Security Affairs staff
Brigadier Fahad Suleiman Al-Mahaiteeb, Colonel Hamdan Nahar Mohammad, Director
of the Office of the Deputy Undersecretary of KNG, Lieutenant Colonel Hamad
Salem Al-Barjas, Directorate of Battalions Reinforcement training, and Major
Naser Mathoor Mohammad, First Brigade Anti-Terrorism Battalion.
During the opening ceremony, which was attended by Prince Faisal Bin
Al-Hussein on behalf of King Abdullah II, Lieutenant General Mashal Al-Zaben,
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces, said
SOFEX exhibition was held this year amid unprecedented threats and challenges
to the region.
He added that enemies of peace were continuing their quest to be the most
dangerous and extremist in which requires a constant awakening and readiness
via modernized and enhanced equipment, deep knowledge, and experiences.
On his part, Amer Al-Taba'a, general manager of SOFEX, said that the
exhibition is a forum that hosts most developed experiences of defensive
manufactures world, which shapes the fundamentals of modern armies, pointing
out that more than 320 exhibitors from 33 countries who have chosen SOFEX, in
particular, are representing pioneers in military manufacture.
SOFEX is held every two years and it showcases modernized and developed
military tools and equipment that are produced by the biggest producers and
developers in the military defense field. |
