Advisor of HH the Prime Minister Diwan Sheikha Dr. Rasha Al-Homoud Al-Sabah on Friday denied remarks made by MP Musallam Al-Barrak claiming that she backed MP Mohammad Al-Juwaihel in his interpellation of her brother, the Minister of Interior Sheikh Ahmad Al-Homoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Sheikha Rasha in a statement on Friday said this charge was false and baseless "and contradicts common sense." It also counters values bounding human beings, religious and heavenly laws, she said. Sheikha Dr. Rasha said that it was normal, from a professional point of view, for the advisor of HH the prime minister to defend the premier, members of his government, particularly a minister who "is my brother and the closest person to me." Although advisor of the prime minister, usually, does not attend grilling sessions of the parliament, "I made sure to be present at the interpellation session of my brother, considering not only his capacity as the deputy prime minister and interior minister but also to offer moralistic support for a dear brother who is very close to me," she pointed out. Dr. Rasha said she neither has had the acquaintance of the MP who filed the interpellation, nor backed him.
