Israeli workers and troops resumed construction of a cement barrier along the border with Lebanon on Wednesday, according to security sources. Some 15 Israeli soldiers, accompanied by workers and equipped with machines, started the reconstruction work, early today, close the Lebanese town of Kfar Kila. Cover-up military units were deployed in nearby groves. Simultaneously, troops of the Spanish battalion of the UN peace-keeping force and the Lebanese Army were seen at nearby positions. Israel has recently started building the reinforced cement wall along the border line. Work stopped, on Tuesday, because of extraordinary security precautions on Al-Nakba Day occasion. Lebanon has recently protested to the UN peace-keeping command, the UNIFIL, that the Israelis deviated from the line into Lebanese territories. The Israelis agreed to rebuild this section right on the line. Tel Aviv is building a kilometer-long cement fence between Kfar Kila and the opposite Israeli settlement, Al-Mutellah.
