"Traffic is normal and Kuwait International
Airport is not affected by the smoke from a fire which broke out in Sabhan
area Thursday morning," said Head of Operations at the airport Essam Al-Zamil.
Al-Zamil said landings and departures are proceeding as planned.
He also cautioned that "no other body or authority in Kuwait has right to
issue statements on aviation conditions but the department.
"The public should take care to only heed reports by the department so as
to help reduce spread of rumors and panic," he also stressed. |
