Kuwait Crown Prince Karate Ch'ship comes to close

The Third Crown Prince Karate Championship for Youth and Juniors ended here on Sunday, with Al-Shabab winning the majority of honours. Attending on behalf of HH the Crown Prince, Hawalli governor Abdallah Al-Fares said he was pleased with what he saw of the competitors in the tournament, in addition to what the sport has achieved for the country. He thanked the event's organisers for their efforts, expressing gratitude for HH the Crown Prince's generous initiative to sponsor the competition. Chief of the Kuwaiti karate body, Sheikh Khaled Al-Abdallah Al-Sabah similarly hailed the senior official's sponsorship, saying it spurred athletes on to achieve more. Al-Shabab were crowned the competition's champions, after winning the majority of medals, with Qadsiya and Yarmouk, trailing in second and third, respectively.
