The number of Syrians killed by government forces'
fire on Tuesday rose to 25, including one woman and nine defected soldiers,
said Local Coordination Committees (LCC).
The committees affirmed that violent acts that pro-government forces are
conducting against anti-government demonstration, as well as tracking down
dissident soldiers, resulted in death of 25 people, including four in Daraa,
three in Hama, three in Deir Al-Zour, two in Homs, two Aleppo, one in Idleb,
and one in suburbs outside Damascus.
Also, it said that regime forces have renewed their shelling on Khan
Shaikhon town, Idleb, which led to injury of a 90 year-old woman and number of
children due to bombing explosions at their houses.
In addition, LCC noted that several injuries among civilians occurred in
Homs due to regime forces' mortar shelling on West Aasi villages, adding that
gunfire incidents were reported in Halfaya town, Hama, that were aimed at
residential houses.
In addition, heavy gunfire by government forces, using light and heavy
machine guns, were reported in Jasem district, Daraa, following an
anti-government demonstrations that took place in the town, LCC said, pointing
out that there were no reports about casualties yet.
Moreover, the committees announced the death of a young man and injury of
three others due to an explosion that hit Hamouriya town, Reif Damascus, and
led to the collapse of number of houses. |
