Hours after the dead-body of missing tribal elder and commander of tribal peace force was found in northern Pakistani city of Peshawar, the peace force refused to cooperate with the government till his murderers are arrested. The bullet-riddled bodies of Fahimud Din, the 50-year old chief of 1500-militia force in Bazedkhel town, located on the outskirts of Peshawar, and his three associates were found Wednesday morning in a Toyota Land Cruiser on the city s ring road. They had been missing for last two days. It appears they had been kidnapped and dumped near Peshawar after being killed, said a local senior police officer Asif Iqbal while talking to newsmen. He said that they had been shot at close range. A journalist from Peshawar, Ismail Hussain Khan, told KUNA by telephone that after the killing of their chief and his three associates, the peace militia force has refused to cooperate with the government till his murderers are arrested. Ismail said that Basedkhel peace militia has been playing a significant role in maintaining peace in the outskirts of Peshawar. It is important to mention here that Din had earlier survived at least three suicide and bomb attacks by Taliban. However, no group has so far claimed responsibility for his killing.
