Seven people killed in blast in southern Baghdad

Seven people died in an explosion at a tribal leader's house in a town south of the Iraqi capital on Wednesday, police said. A police source told Kuwait News Agency that unknown armed men had implanted bombs around the house in Al-Mada'in town before they blew up the house early on Wednesday. The explosion killed seven people and wounded 11 others. Among the injured was the targetd leader. The house, as a result of the explosion, collapsed on him and his family. Nearby houses were also damaged in the explosion.
