The number of civilians killed by the Syrian
regular forces on Wednesday topped 70 including 23 who were killed in Idlib
alone, the opposition Local Coordination Committees (LCC) said.
The escalating violence from regime forces resulted in the killing of 13
people in Deir Al-Zour, while ten others were killed in suburb of Damascus,
and eight in the Al-Qamishli and seven in Deraa, including five killed in
Homs, three in Hama, and one in Aleppo, according to an LCC statement.
The statement added that various cities were targeted by heavy shelling and
missile attacks by regime forces, which resulted in the huge number of
casualties and injuries.
