Kuwait Airways Corporation (KAC) said Sunday its
flight KU-117, bound to New York, was forced to land at Frankfort airport as a
bird hit one of its engines.
The Boeing 777 had to undergo a baroscopic inspection at the airport as a
precaution to ensure the soundness of the engine, KAC said.
The 203 passengers were asked to leave the plane and stay at a nearby hotel
until the plane is ready to resume the flight, it added. |
