The Kuwaiti Ministry of Information and the
National Council for Culture and Letters are taking part in the 14th Amman
International Book Fair.
Kuwait is participating with a huge pavilion including thousands of
publications in different domains.
Kuwait's Ambassador to Jordan Dr. Hamad Al-Duaij visited the Kuwaiti
pavilion and was briefed on displayed books and magazines, which are
distributed free of charge or sold at token prices.
In statements to KUNA, Ambassador Al-Duaij underscored the importance of
Kuwait's participation in the Jordanian book fair and other similar cultural
events to promote Kuwaiti culture, tradition and knowledge.
"Kuwait is also eager to help enrich the Arab libraries with new
publications in all knowledge domains," he told KUNA.
The 14th Amman International Book Fair opened to the public at Al Hussein
Youth City on Wednesday, offering around a million books printed by 220
publishing houses from 17 countries.
In addition, the 10-day fair includes cultural events, lectures and
activities for children. |
