The Iranian opposition group Komala of Iranian Kurdistan announced on Sunday that its headquarters north of Irbil province in Iraq's Kurdistan region had come under an Iranian missile attack.
Amjad Hussein Panahi, the group's head of relations, told KUNA that the organization's bases in the Alana Valley area were struck by missile fire three times, without providing details on casualties or damage.
Panahi added that since the outbreak of regional conflict, the group's camps and headquarters have been subjected to 76 drone and missile attacks, resulting in the deaths of several members and injuries to others.
The Kurdistan Regional Government had previously reported that 20 people were killed and 123 others wounded in missile and drone attacks targeting multiple areas across the region from late February through late April, despite the ceasefire between the United States and Iran.
In a government report, authorities said civilian sites, private property and infrastructure across the region had been repeatedly targeted.
Since the conflict began, several countries and governments have consistently condemned the attacks, while the Kurdistan Regional Government has repeatedly called for those responsible to be held accountable and for an end to what it described as unjustified violations and assaults on the sovereignty of both Kurdistan and Iraq.
