Service Description

  • This service enables users to request an external study mission for people with disabilities in accordance with the regulations and systems in force in higher education

Eligibility or Criteria

  • The applicant must be Kuwaiti.

  • The applicant must hold a valid disability certificate issued by the Public Authority for Disability Affairs for the following disabilities:

  • Hearing impairment (moderate or severe)

  • Visual impairment (moderate or severe)

  • Motor disability (moderate or severe)

  • For students with learning difficulties:

  • The applicant must hold a disability certificate issued by the Public Authority for Disability Affairs, not less than three years ago (learning difficulties).

  • The applicant must have a General Secondary Education Certificate or an equivalent, certified by the Ministry of Education.

  • The average score must not be less than 70% for the science section outside Kuwait, 70% for the science section inside Kuwait, and 70% for the arts section inside and outside Kuwait.

  • The student must not be more than twenty-five years old when applying during the announcement period.

  • Obtaining the General Secondary Education Certificate must not be more than two years ago.

  • The student must not be enrolled or registered in a government institute or university.

  • The applicant must not have previously received a government scholarship.

  • The applicant must be present in person.

  • The applicant must pass the personal interview

Required Documents

  • General Secondary Education Certificate, certified by the Ministry of Education, with a copy of it
  • Certified copy of the secondary stage transcript in both Arabic and English
  • Copy of the IELTS/TOEFL test results (if available)
  • Copy of any academic admission obtained by the applicant (if any)
  • Four personal photos (4x6)
  • Copy of passport
  • Copy of nationality certificate or proof of it
  • Copy of the nationality certificate and civil ID of the guardian
  • Copy of the educational decision issued by the Public Authority for Disability Affairs

Procedures

 The application must be submitted at the headquarters of the Public Authority for Disability Affairs in Hawalli, Block 11, Beirut Street, opposite Al Bayan Bilingual School, or at one of the Authority’s branches during the morning period from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.​
