Training and Qualification Program for New Kuwaiti Graduates

Service Description

  • This service provides new Kuwaiti graduates with the opportunity to have a qualification and training to work in the economics and finance sector in the Kuwaiti market, through a specialized thirteen-month training program consisting of three stages:
    First Stage:
    It is a set of training programs held at the Authority's training centre in cooperation with a number of local and international training institutions, as well as some financial institutions with which the Authority has working relationships.
    These programs focus on investment, economics, accounting, management skills, and computers.
    The second stage:
    This is a training while working phase at international financial institutions with a reputation for investing in global markets. This phase lasts for ten weeks.
    During this program, the trainee gains practical experience and the necessary skills in the field of investment and financial work through exposure to global financial markets.
    Stage 3:
    This phase lasts for approximately two months, during which trainees are trained while working in the Authority's various departments, with the aim of becoming familiar with the nature of work within the Kuwait Investment Authority's sectors.

Eligibility or Criteria

  • Applicants must be Kuwaiti.

  • Applicants must not be working for any other entity if they are accepted for the training course.

  • Applicants must not be more than 26 years old at the time of application.

  • Applicants must have had a recognized bachelor’s degree not more than 3 years ago in one of the following specializations: the College of Business Administration in all its specializations, the College of Engineering and Petroleum, specializing in (Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering).

  • Applicants must have a general GPA in the bachelor’s degree major of no less than 3.00 or its equivalent.

  • Applicants are required to provide evidence of having taken the GMAT test with a score not less than 395, provided that the test was taken in person, not remotely. (When applying for the GMAT test, applicants must choose the Kuwait Investment Authority from the entities on the list to which the test score will be sent.)

  • Applicants must be fluent in Arabic and English, reading, writing and speaking.

  • It is necessary to join the training program outside the State of Kuwait for a period of 10 weeks.

  • Applicants must submit a no-objection certificate from the National Service Authority if accepted into the training program (for those born on 05/10/1999 and after).
