Service Description

  • This service allows the issuance of licenses for study and research centers​

Eligibility or Criteria

  • The service applicant must be a Kuwaiti national
  • The applicant must be of good conduct, reputable, and have not been previously convicted of a crime that violates honor and honesty.
  • The applicant must have the required educational qualification to practice the activity.
  • If the applicant is a legal representative​, all the founders or partners must be Kuwaiti, and the above conditions must be met by the person in charge of managing the activity.​​

Required Documents

  • Copy of Proof of Nationality or Civil ID (Enterprises and individuals)
  • Copy of Proof of Nationality or Civil ID (for partners and the activity manager)For businesses only
  • Copy of Proof of Nationality or Civil ID (for members and activity manager)(Only For Cooperative Societies / Public Benefit Associations)
  • A copy of the academic qualification of the activity manager (not less than a university)
  • Copy of the lease contract + recent lease receipt
  • Memorandum of Association or a recent extract from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for companies only
  • A letter from the Ministry of Social Affairs addressed to the Ministry of Information specifying the presidency of the association (Only For Cooperative Societies / Public Benefit Associations)
  • The letter of the regulatory authorities addressed by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to the Ministry of Information or a valid license from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry
  • Criminal Status Certificate of the Activity Manager
