Service Description

  • This service allows citizens to obtain equivalency certificate for transfer from Religious Institutes to General Education

Eligibility or Criteria

  • Transfer from Religious Institute to General Secondary Education:
  • A student who passes Grade 9 (First Secondary) transfers to Grade 10 (Second Secondary), provided they successfully pass a written exam in the Grade 9 general education subjects, namely: Mathematics – Integrated Science
  • A student who passes Grade 10 (Second Secondary) transfers to Grade 11 (Third Secondary), provided they successfully pass a written exam in the Grade 10 general education subjects, namely: Biology – Physics – Chemistry – Social Studies
  • A student who passes Grade 11 (Third Secondary) transfers to Grade 11 (Literary Stream), provided they successfully pass a written exam in the Grade 10 general education subject, namely: Social Studies
  • A student who passes Grade 11 (Third Secondary) transfers to Grade 11 (Scientific Stream), provided they successfully pass a written exam in the Grade 10 general education subjects, namely: ​Mathematics – Sciences (Biology – Physics – Chemistry)
  • A holder of a Religious Institute Secondary Certificate transfers to Grade 11 (Literary Stream only) without the need to pass an equivalency exam.
