Service Description

  • This service allows citizens, private sector companies and organizations, and government entities to request connection of home drainage network to the public drainage network (main line).

Eligibility or Criteria

  • Attendance of service applicant or his/her representative in the premises of the Ministry in the governorate.​Also absence of violation of the license approved by the Ministry; and in case of requesting an additional extension, the applicant pays the extension fees​

Required Documents

  • Civil ID
  • drain plan approved by the Ministry of Public Works
  • documents of title for parcel in case of buying one

Procedures

​Determine the location of the building's internal manhole before starting construction. Then, the engineering office prepares the design drawings for the internal sewage network and submits three copies to the relevant authority for approval of the manhole location that was previously identified.​

​Connecting the building's internal manhole to the public sewage network.​

​Granting approval for connecting the electrical power supply by inspecting the building to ensure that the rainwater drainage network is separated from the sewage network. The electricity connection request must first be obtained and approved by the Kuwait Municipality, after which it is submitted to the relevant authority for final approval.
