1920 -- Four Thousands Brotherhood group fighters attacked the Red Palace in Al-Jahra oasis in what was known as the Jahraa Battle. Sheikh Salem Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Kuwait's 9th ruler, confronted the attack with 1,500-force. The battle ended in a truce after the Brotherhood knew of the reinforcement coming from people of Kuwait. 1955 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah signed a decree to impose taxes on trading authorities in Kuwait. 1961 -- The Arab Theater Troupe founded, the first featuring participation of Kuwaiti women. 2010 -- Kuwait national team won seven gold medals, four silver and four bronze at the world jetski championship in Arizona, US. 2014 -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) signed a KD three-million loan agreement with Benin to finance a project designed to protect the east coast of Cotonou.
