Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) Maj. Gen. Abdulwahab Al-Wuhaib affirmed Thursday that the ministry is moving forward with building an integrated technological system that will help raise the level of readiness and enhance the efficiency of security performance.
This will be achieved by expanding and developing electronic services in line with users' needs, contributing to simplifying procedures and accelerating the completion of transactions according to the highest standards of quality and efficiency, the Ministry said in a news statement.
Accompanied by assistant undersecretary for security affairs Maj. Gen. Ali Al-Adwani and some officials, Al-Wahaib paid an inspection tour to the General Department of Information Systems, in line with the ministry's eagerness to review workflow and raise constitutional performance level.
Advanced technological solutions provided by the department represent a fundamental pillar in supporting security decision-makers, he said, noting that digital transformation is a necessity by the demands of modern security work amid the rapid development of technologies and systems.
He stressed the need for continuation of action in a teamwork spirit for further development in a manner that shows the advanced image of the ministry.
Al-Wuhaib also listened to a detailed briefing from specialists on the key approved electronic systems and the mechanisms for developing digital infrastructure.
It also covered current and future technological projects aimed at supporting security system, speeding up procedures and enhancing institutional performance efficiency.
