Iran, Pakistan discuss regional peace efforts

Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, who arrived in Iran on Saturday for a two-day official visit aimed at facilitating dialogue and promoting regional peace, held talks with his Iranian counterpart on bilateral ties and regional developments. According to ISNA, Naqvi's visit is part of Pakistan's ongoing efforts to facilitate dialogue and promote regional peace. After being received by his Iranian counterpart Eskandar Mo'meni, the two interior ministers held a meeting, during which they engaged in detailed discussions on Iran-Pakistan relations and the prospects for the resumption of peace negotiations with Washington. The meeting also covered issues of mutual interest, including sustainable peace in the region and the latest regional developments. The Iranian top diplomat praised the "sincere and committed efforts" of Chief of the Army Staff of the Pakistan Army Field Marshal Asim Munir to resolve the ongoing conflict and commended Pakistan's constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability.
