Kuwaiti Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah met Monday with representatives of major telecommunications companies operating in Kuwait - Zain, Ooredoo, STC, and ITK - to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation, especially the cooperative sector.
In a press statement following the meeting, which included representatives from Zain, Ooredoo, STC, and ITK, Dr. Al-Huwailah said the discussions focused on developing partnership mechanisms that serve the public interest, while emphasizing the importance of transparency, good governance, and protecting public funds.
She highlighted the need to improve collaboration with cooperative societies to achieve better outcomes and greater operational efficiency.
The meeting also confronted the main challenges faced by telecom companies when working with the cooperative sector, particularly regarding contracts and subsidies.
Dr. Al-Huwailah affirmed the ministry's commitment to removing obstacles, developing cooperation frameworks, and ensuring integration among all relevant parties to deliver the best services in line with approved legal and regulatory standards.
