UN Resident Coordinator in Kuwait, Ghada Al-Taher congratulated on Tuesday His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on the second anniversary in office.
In a statement, Al-Taher praised the long-standing record of His Highness the Crown Prince of Kuwait and his contributions over decades in strengthening dialogue and cooperation among nations, and in reinforcing Kuwait's position as a trusted partner in supporting peace and humanitarian work.
Al-Taher added that His Highness the Crown Prince, through his extensive experience in foreign policy and international relations, has played a pivotal role in advancing international cooperation efforts and promoting the values of peaceful coexistence, respect for international law, and sustainable development.
She also affirmed that His Highness the Crown Prince's commitment to the principles of the United Nations Charter continues to inspire efforts aimed at building a more stable, prosperous, and inclusive world.
Al-Taher noted that the United Nations and the State of Kuwait are marking this year the 63rd anniversary of their partnership, which is based on mutual trust, constructive diplomacy and leadership in humanitarian work.
She expressed the UN pride in its close partnership with Kuwait, affirming that under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the continued support of His Highness the Crown Prince, Kuwait continues to play an active role as an international partner in promoting peace, sustainable development, humanitarian action, and achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
Furthermore, the UN representative renewed the United Nations commitment to further strengthening its partnership with the State of Kuwait, wishing His Highness the Crown Prince continued health and wellbeing, and wishing Kuwait and its people continued progress and prosperity.
