Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) said it has successfully transformed a number of gas stations bearing KNPC logo to (Q8) with objective uniting brand identity of the marketing and retail sector, reflecting Q8 status globally.
This transformation is a strategic step that unites commercial identity of KPC across different markets and affirms deep-rooted legacy of the brand, KPC CEO Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Sabah told KUNA Saturday.
This transformation, he said, "reflects our continuous commitment in operation excellence, providing best solutions to our customers and supporting strategic objectives that aim at achieving sustainable growth while boosting our domestic and international presence up until 2040."
The first gas station with the Q8 logo was meeting international standards, said Sheikh Nawaf, and would offer an integrated experience for customers beyond refueling to include retail outlets, car care products and smart payments methods.
Wadha Al-Khateeb, Kuwait National Petroleum Company's CEO, said the first Q8 gas station reflected successful collaboration among KPC, KNPC and Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI) to gradually transform KNPC gas stations to be under full KPI management.
She said the first phase included eight gas stations and the rest of KNPC stations would follow.
KNPC has some 65 years of experience, said Al-Khateeb, during which it managed gas stations nationwide but would be responsible now for supplying Q8 stations with fuel.
KPI CEO Shafi Al-Ajmi said the new station "is a new beginning of Q8 in local market with a vision beyond the reintroduction of a successful brand to transforming gas station into an integrated service destination that honor different needs of customers."
The new Q8 stations, said Al-Ajmi, would include Electric Vehicles Charging stations, car wash service, strategic partnerships with major food and beverage companies.
"The objective is diversify income, promote customer experience and boosting loyalty for the brand by transforming our stations into vibrant social hubs," he said.
