1931 -- Abdullah Al-Dehayyan, who became Kuwait's chief justice in 1930, passed away at 57. The deceased was also an Imam and preacher in mosques, and was considered one of the renowned intellectual figures. 1932 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah signed Kuwait Municipality Law in order to meet people needs for development of residential areas, as well as health and social services. 1978 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah signed a decree regarding formation of the country's 10th government, which was chaired by Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah. The government consisted of 18 ministers. 1986 -- Kuwait National Museum's Planetarium, which included old astronomical devices, maps and manuscripts, opened for the public. 1997 -- Kuwait Investment Company completed an index for companies listed in Kuwait stock exchange. The index is based on market value of shares and was the only index encompassing all 60 listed firms. 2002 -- Kuwait Public Transport Company (KPTC) opened a marina at Ras Al-Ardh area, which could host more than 190 boats. 2016 -- Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) opened the first unit of its Clean Fuel Project in Ahmadi Refinery. 2020 -- Cooperatives center for blood transfusion opened in Ahmadi medical area. The KD-seven-million, five-storey building was built over 14,000 square meters. 2020 -- The American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) recognized Kuwait Blood Bank for its excellent performance. 2021 -- Kuwait government's emergency committee approved resumption of sport activities, which were ceased on February 3, 2021. 2022 -- Kuwait Foreign Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Sabah won the National Assembly trust after 23 MPs opposed a no-confidence motion against 21 lawmakers who supported it. The motion was tabled following a grilling session.
