The Kuwait Electronic Award for Enriching e-Content
The Kuwait Electronic Award was launched under the sublime patronage of the late His Highness Amir Sheikh, Sabah Al Ahmed, God bless his soul.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, and in line with His Highness’ directives to encourage progress and enrich creativity and technological production that is based on scientific foundation, and to create a competitive environment for Kuwaiti youth to raise the quality level of their electronic projects in a way that qualifies them to compete in international forums, and enhance the position of the State of Kuwait on the global technology map. Patronage will be extended to these projects within the framework of local contests where contestants compete for national awards. Distinguished contestants will be nominated for further participation in global competitions. This is one of the major contributions of the KFAS in spreading knowledge and promoting the role of Kuwait by utilizing its technological output and developing its scientific technologies and applications, which will result in a series of developments on the local level.
H.H. Sheikh Salem Al Ali Al Sabah Informatics Award
Living award in its 10th year (Bronze Jubilee) , which is a historic turning point in the development of participatory national and Arab, and raise the slogan "Partners in Development - saw" out of conviction of the importance of concerted efforts by individuals, and government institutions, and those civil partnership, integrating ideas, and mutually reinforcing where business, and intertwined with the goals, to turn for the better through the means of contemporary technology, and digital art, in order to achieve its vision in building the information society integrated and sophisticat.
GCC eGovernment Award
In their effort to develop and exchange their experience in all the aspects of information technology and telecommunications; e-government authorities and programs in the gulf area resolved to launch the Gulf Cooperation Council e-Government Award project. A different gulf state hosts the Award every year, to ensure effective implementation of the mechanism of achieving the desired goals and encourage the continuous development and upgrading of the competing e-services and projects. It should be noted that the date of the Award will be set after the host country coordinates with the other participating gulf countries. This guarantees the implementation of the standards and phases created for the Award and it also gives all GCC countries the opportunity to organize this significant event.
