Service Description

  • People with special needs (severe or moderate) and their families who meet the housing welfare eligibility conditions are entitled to a grant of 10,000 KD only, in addition to the housing loan amount allocated to individuals without disabilities, for the purpose of carrying out renovations required for their specific needs. This is according to the terms and conditions issued by the Public Authority for Disability Affairs in agreement with Kuwait Credit Bank,people with mild disabilities or their families are granted an amount of 5,000 KD only.

Eligibility or Criteria

  • The disability grant application is submitted in the name of the owner of the property to be renovated.

  • A person with a disability is eligible for the grant if they enjoy housing welfare and according to their housing needs, as per the report provided by the engineer assigned from the bank.

  • Cases in which the bank requires a certificate from the person responsible for the care of the disabled (the certificate is issued according to the terms and conditions of the Public Authority for Disability Affairs):

  • Cases of separation between spouses, where one of them applies for a disability grant and the person with a disability is a minor, regardless of the type or degree of disability, or an adult with an intellectual disability, regardless of its degree

  • Cases in which a “child” applies for a disability grant and the person with a disability is a parent (father or mother), regardless of the degree of disability.

  • Cases in which a “brother or sister” applies for a disability grant and the person with a disability is a brother or sister, regardless of the degree of disability.

  • All cases where the person with a disability has a severe or moderate intellectual disability.

  • All cases in which a person applies for a disability grant and his relationship to the person with a disability is not first-degree, regardless of the type or degree of disability​.
