Service Description

  • This service provides Kuwaiti General Secondary Education Certificate equivalency for British Secondary School Certificates. Main Approved Subjects Religion (provided by Ministry of Education) Arabic (provided by Ministry of Education) or Arabic as 1st Language Accounting -Biology -Business Studies -Chemistry -Computer -Economics English Literature -English as 1st Language -English as 2nd Language -French Geography -History -Information Technology -Math -Physics -Psychology Science ( Double Award) -Sociology You can choose only one optional subject of the following: Music –Media studies –Graphic design –Art and Design -Physical Education Design and Technology –Drama–Quran Nutrition –Environmental studies

Eligibility or Criteria

  • Certificate must be issued by one of the British universities or institutes recognized by Department for Education in the United Kingdom
  • Student must have passed at least six subjects at the Ordinary Level. Passing grades of all subjects must be at least O-Level and authenticated by the British Council
  • Student must submit Study Sequence Certificate proving passing Secondary Education (Grades 9, 10, and 11) authenticated by Exam Control and Student Affairs, Student Affairs Department, and provide copies of required certificates
  • I.G.C.S.E or G.C.S.E subjects (A-Level or AS-Level) can be counted among the six approved subjects, with all subject grades being not less than D
  • Student must pass the test in only one Arabic subject of the subjects presented in the table
  • Student must be at least 16 years old upon completion of the equivalency

Required Documents

  • Copy of Civil ID of the student and the student's guardian or their representative
  • A 0.5 KD stamp for each entity requiring an equivalency certificate

Procedures

Visit Private Education Department, Certificate Equivalency Section and submit the required documents
