Connecting Extensions of the Building Internal Drainage System to the Public Drainage Network

Service Description

  • This service allows the connection of extensions of the building internal drainage system to the public drainage network of the Ministry of Public Works

Eligibility or Criteria

  • The owner of the building must provide pumps to lift the sewage to the land level, in case the building has a basement
  • Connecting the internal drainage system of the building to the public drainage network may become impossible, since the internal system and the public network are not close enough. In this case, the owner of the building must provide a surge tank or a septic tank and an absorption hole within the site borders through a forceful and temporary action until the utility is provided, as per the technical standards approved by the Ministry of Public Works
  • The engineering office must design a drainage system independent from the rainwater drainage system

Required Documents

  • Three (3) copies of the general plan of the building
  • Three (3) copies of the plans and the location of the drain exit approved by the Ministry
  • Four (4) copies of the design plans for the septic tank and the absorption hole or the surge tank
  • Copy of the memorandum of accounts for the septic tank and the absorption hole or the surge tank
