Service Description

  • This service enables the business sector (companies and organizations) to issue an industrial trade license.

Eligibility or Criteria

  • The applicant must be an individual or a company of Kuwaiti nationality or a citizen of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

  • Required fees must be paid.

  • The applicant must be at least 21 years old on the date of applying.

  • The applicant must not be among those insured under the provisions of Chapter Three of the Social Insurance Law.(except for employees of companies and the private sector).

  • The project investments must not exceed 50,000 KD.

  • The industrial registry registration fees must be paid.

  • The approval of the Ministry of Information and the Ministry of Interior is needed if the required activity includes printing work.

  • The approval of the relevant authorities must be obtained for the licensed activity.

  • In case of applying for a license in the Fahaheel Crafts Complex: The applicant must be at least 21 years old and not more than 61 years old on the date of submission of the request ,the applicant fills out the form for requesting a craft license through the Agility company ,the applicant must pass the personal interview and obtain the approval of the General Manager.

Required Documents

  • Copy of the civil ID of the concerned parties
  • Approval from the Public Institution for Social Security (Online)
  • Company’s memorandum of association and any amendments made to such memorandum
  • Machinery and equipment quotation invoices and catalogues
  • Certificate of technical qualification and experience (GCC nationals).
  • Certificate from the Public Authority for Civil Information for the automatic number
  • Note: In case of developed areas, the required documents are as follows:Contract of the concerned party with the developer company, Latest rent receiptm Civil number, Letter from the developer company addressed to the Authority requesting a license

1 -The application should be electronically submitted by the concerned party.

- The relevant government agencies (the Fire Force, Environment Public Authority, Municipality), Public Works (in the case of services), Health (in the case of food), Media, Interior (in the case of printing), etc., and company management in the case of companies, should be contacted to amend the company contract to add the craft activity to the contract.

(In case of applying for a license in the Fahaheel Crafts Complex):

- Passing the personal interview after fulfilling the required conditions.

- General Manager’s approval of the request.

- Contacting the Agility Company to approve and conclude the contract with the client. 		-Reception and Follow-up Department

- Customer Service Department (in case of service license)

- Competent employee

-​ Director of Industrial Development and Support Department 		A license may be granted for a period of six months until the site is ready without requesting an inspection from the centre.

In this case, an additional fees of 15 KD will be collected to issue a temporary industrial license.

In the event that the activity is new and not classified among the craft activities, it is classified in coordination with the Feasibility Evaluation Department, and then the government agencies are contacted.

​ In the event that the client is an indirect contractor with the Authority (“Developer Contracts”), the application will be submitted to the department responsible for developed areas.
2 - Receiving a commercial registration certificate from the concerned party

- Receiving the company contract with the industrial activity added to it

- Issuing the license for a period of five years and delivering it to the concerned party with a receipt through KIOSK or electronically through the user's account.

(In the case of the Fahaheel Crafts Complex, a temporary license is issued for a period of six months.)

- Publishing an announcement in the Official Gazette regarding registration in the industrial registry
