Deceased Pensioner/Insured – 2) Death Grant Payment

Service Description

  • Request for death grant payment upon the death of an Insured person or pensioner, equal to:
    Twice the retirement pension for a pensioner.
    Twice the basic salary subject to insurance for an Insured person, plus twice the supplementary pension.
    Twice the contribution bracket for the Insured persons subject to Chapter V.

Eligibility or Criteria

  • Applicant must be one of the heirs.
    The grant is paid to the persons designated by the Insured or pensioner during their lifetime.
    If no designation was made, the grant is distributed after death as follows:
    In case of the death of a man: the grant is first payable to his widow(s), then to the father, then the mother, then the eldest son not entitled to pension.
    In case of the death of a woman: the grant is first payable to her husband, then the eldest son not entitled to pension, then the father, then the mother.
    If none of the above exist: the grant is distributed to the beneficiaries according to their pension entitlements.
    If there are no beneficiaries: the grant is paid to the legal heirs through the Ministry of Justice.

Required Documents

  • Copy of a valid Civil ID of the person concerned
  • Death certificate (authenticated if issued abroad)
  • Limitation of succession (authenticated if issued abroad)
  • Bank transfer certificate with IBAN for the beneficiary of the death grant

Access Individuals e-Portal: http://es​ervice.pifss.gov.kw​

Enter Civil ID number​.

Approve authentication on “Kuwait Mobile ID” App.​

Click on “Submit Application” and select “Deceased Pensioner/Insured – 2) Death Grant Payment” transaction​

Upload required documents and submit​
