Al-Ataa Hall Service

Service Description

  • Receiving endowers at Al-Ataa Hall, completing their endowment procedures in full confidentiality, and answering all their inquiries.

Eligibility or Criteria

  • Sharia Requirements for the Endower:
  • For the endowment to be deemed valid, the endower must be legally competent to make a donation, by being free, of legal age, of sound mind, and of sound judgment, must not be under duress in making the endowment, and must be the owner of the asset to be endowed.
  • Acting by proxy on behalf of the endower shall not be permitted.
  • By way of illustration, no person may use a power of attorney to create an endowment in the name of the principal without that principal’s knowledge.

Required Documents

  • Civil ID card if endowers wish to mention their names
  • Real estate document if the endowment is real estate.

Procedures

Bring the required documents and proceed to Al-Ataa Hall at the headquarters of the Awqaf Public Foundation to complete the service. ​

Express the intention to establish an endowment and specify the desired endowment channel. ​

If the endowment is monetary: 
The amount shall be paid to the cashier, and a receipt voucher shall be issued accordingly. 


If the endowment is real estate: 
A draft endowment deed shall be prepared as a preliminary step for notarization. 
The real estate endowment shall be notarized before the Sharia Authentication Department at the Ministry of Justice in the presence of the endower. 

In the case of monthly deduction, a payment order form shall be completed.​
