Islamic Declaration of Faith Service

Service Description

  • This service welcomes individuals of all nationalities and religions who wish to embrace Islam. In addition, it targets those who wish to prove their conversion to Islam where all the needed procedures are performed for them along with presenting to them Islamic Declaration Of Faith Statement, necessary books, and Islam introductory publications.

Eligibility or Criteria

  • Attendance.
  • Filling a questionnaire form before converting to Islam.
  • Filling a pledge form shows that the act of converting to Islam is done willingly and out of conviction.

Procedures

​The employee of the Islamic Declaration of Faith service shall register the new convert data.

The new convert shall sign a pledge of his intention to convert to Islam in form number (1115/5) for Arabic speakers and (1115/6) for English speakers.

The new convert shall fill the questionnaire of form number (1115/8) for Arabic speakers and (1115/9) for English speakers.​

The Islamic Declaration of Faith Draft Statement shall be completed and presented in form number (1115/7) and attested by witnesses` signatures hereto.​

The employee shall introduce the convert to one of the Fatwa Authority members to declare his faith in Islam and pronounce the two statements of Shahada.

The competent employee shall provide the new convert with translated books and shall set with him a date for delivering the document.

The new convert shall be given a delivery receipt of the Islamic Declaration of Faith in form number (1115/10).

Head of Fatwa Affairs shall review the Declaration and submit it to the competent manager for approval.​

The employee of the Islamic Declaration of Faith service shall deliver the original Declaration to the convert.

A copy of the Islamic Declaration of Faith shall be stored in the archive.​
