Service Description

  • This service enables the issuance of citizenship certificates for the children of Kuwaiti citizens who have reached the legal age of 18 years.

Eligibility or Criteria

  • ​Biometric fingerprinting shall be completed at the General Department of Criminal Evidence.
  • The father, the person concerned, or a duly authorized representative acting under an approved power of attorney must attend in person.

Required Documents

  • A copy of the child’s birth certificate.
  • A copy of the child’s Civil ID on both sides, showing the blood type.
  • Four recent and suitable personal photographs with a blue background, size 4 × 6 cm.
  • Foreign academic certificates (secondary level and below) must be equated and approved by the Private Education Department.
  • The child’s latest academic certificate, duly certified by the school

Procedures

The applicant shall bring the required documents and visit the General Department of Nationality and Travel Documents in the relevant governorate. ​

The prescribed fees for the service shall be paid. ​
