Service Description

  • This service enables Kuwaiti citizens to renew passports for minors.

Eligibility or Criteria

  • ​Attendance of the legal representative.
  • Attendance of the person concerned.

Required Documents

  • One recent personal photograph, size 4 × 5 cm (in accordance with the approved photo specifications).
  • The legal representative must attend in person and present the original Civil ID together with a copy thereof.
  • The passport to be renewed.
  • Where the passport of a minor is renewed pursuant to a court judgment or a power of attorney, the court judgment or the power of attorney must be approved by the Technical Office Department at the General Department of Nationality and Travel Documents.
  • Judicial Rulings:
  • Issuance of a passport for minors pursuant to a court judgment
  • Judgment establishing custody or judgment authorizing the issuance of official documents: a certificate confirming that no appeal has been filed against the same judgment must be submitted (a certificate issued by the Enforcement Department of the Ministry of Justice).
  • Order on petition: a certificate issued by the Enforcement Department confirming the enforceability of the order on petition must be submitted, together with a certificate confirming that no grievance has been filed.

Procedures

The above-mentioned documents shall be submitted to the General Department of Nationality and Travel Documents for approval by the Technical Office Department.​
