Service Description

  • This service enables caregivers to request retirement or salary settlement.

Eligibility or Criteria

  • The person with a disability must be a Kuwaiti citizen or be treated as a Kuwaiti individual pursuant to a decision issued by the Ministry of Interior of the State of Kuwait.

  • This person must have a moderate or severe disability.

  • The actual service for a man must be 20 years and for a woman 15 years

Required Documents

  • Retirement referral letter from the employer (sent via email)
  • Copy of the civil ID card of both the person with a disability and the caregiver (provided that the residential addresses match)
  • Marriage contract (if caregiver is one of the spouses)
  • Official notification for the person with a disability (Ministry of Justice and Legal Documentation Services Department) for those aged 18 years old and above
  • Certificate from the judicial inquiry stating that no final rulings have been issued imposing guardianship on persons over the age of 21 due to mental or psychological disabilities
  • Filling out the attached form from a government hospital/ health center/ clinic for the caregiver, stating that they are medically fit
  • Family members' statement for those who have mental and psychological conditions and over the age of 21 and have a guardianship or legal interdiction ruling

Procedures

The application must be submitted at the headquarters of the Public Authority for Disability Affairs in Hawalli, Block 11, Beirut Street, opposite Al Bayan Bilingual School, or at one of the Authority’s branches during the morning period from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ​
