Service Description

  • This service enables people with a disability to request social assistance

Eligibility or Criteria

  • The person with a disability must be a Kuwaiti citizen or be treated as a Kuwaiti individual pursuant to a decision issued by the Ministry of Interior of the State of Kuwait.

  • This person must have a moderate or severe disability.

  • The disability certificate must be valid.

Required Documents

  • Birth certificate or age estimate
  • Personal photo
  • Civil ID card for the disabled
  • copy of the disability ID
  • Copy of the nationality certificate and proof of nationality from the Sahel application, with a recent date
  • Salary transfer form from a bank to the name of the person with a disability, with full details
  • Official notification certificate for the person with a disability (certified by the Ministry of Justice)
  • Official letter to whom it may concern from the following educational authorities stating that the person with a disability is not continuing their studies (if under 28 years old): Higher Education, Kuwait University, Ministry of Special Education (Arab and foreign schools)
  • Judicial inquiry certificate or copies of final rulings on legal detention (for mental and psychological disabilities), with the presence of the person with the disability or their representative, by a power of attorney

Procedures

The application must be submitted at the headquarters of the Public Authority for Disability Affairs in Hawalli, Block 11, Beirut Street, opposite Al Bayan Bilingual School, or at one of the Authority’s branches during the morning period from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.​
