Service Description

  • This service enables women who care for a disabled person to have a monthly allowance of 300 KD

Eligibility or Criteria

  • The person with a disability must be a Kuwaiti citizen or be treated as a Kuwaiti individual pursuant to a decision issued by the Ministry of Interior of the State of Kuwait.

  • This person must be severely disabled.

  • A valid disability certificate must be provided

Required Documents

  • Civil cards for both the woman and the person with a disability (address matching required)
  • Birth certificate of the person with a disability and the woman who takes care of them
  • Certificate from the Ministry of Justice stating the marital status of the person with a disability who is over 21 years old and the woman who is caring for them
  • Salary transfer form from a bank with the name of the woman who is caring for the disabled person
  • Medical report from the Ministry of Health hospitals on the woman who is caring for a disabled person, stating her ability to care for the disabled person (a form obtained from the department).
  • Certificate from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry stating that there are no commercial licenses registered in the woman’s name.
  • If the woman has a previous job, she must bring a notice of termination of service from The Public Institution for Social Security

Procedures

The application must be submitted at the headquarters of the Public Authority for Disability Affairs in Hawalli, Block 11, Beirut Street, opposite Al Bayan Bilingual School, or at one of the Authority’s branches during the morning period from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. ​
